You make me angry, we yell at each other, we don’t have the same ideas when it comes to educating our daughter, you don’t clean after yourself…and the list could go on. BUT these things only really happen sometimes and they are so unimportant compared to what I am going to say next:
I might complain a lot and I might get angry with you when you do stupid things, but you must not forget, I love you.
Being with you opened my eyes towards how hard can building a relationship be, but how rewarding as well. I thought you were a decent guy when we met and I liked you, but I have to admit, I fell in love all over again with you after you became a DAD!
Those first weeks… -let’s make it months- of motherhood were pretty grueling and you were the one person who I was counting on. This might sound shocking to some, but you were the one who thought me to change a diaper and you were the one who woke up in the middle of the night to change our baby and hand her over to me so I can breastfeed. I can honestly say I would have been a miserable person if I had to go trough those months without you. So, thank you for kicking parenthood’s ass when I was too tired and depressed to do it!
There’s been very few times in my life when I doubted you as the one I choose to spend the rest of my life with… and without you even knowing anything, you pretty much blew away all those doubts.
Seeing you be a dad to our daughter made me smile more than I could handle. And to be honest, I could watch you play and make our daughter laugh the whole day long! Yes, you can be an amazing dad! And that is more than admirable and I respect it a lot, since I know that you didn’t get to have your dad that much in your life.
I know though that even if you are a great dad, you can be a great future husband as well :). I kind of melt away in secret when you do little things for me like bring me food when you come from work because you know I stay up late and work for my blog. And I think you are the best mom-substitute I ever had, considering how well you care for me when I’m sick ( or pregnant ) ahahha.
Dear future husband, love US because we always figure things out and because no matter how complicated or tough a situation is, we always find a way out, even if it’s after a huge fight or after not talking to each other for a couple hours. We are good at what we do and I think we’re getting even better.
Oh and… us being sooo different from each other is actually what brings us together more because well … opposites attract but also because you complete me!:) You have all the things I lack and I need more of and you fill up my empty spaces with them. Yes, you complete me…
I just want you to know… I would never trade you for anything! (okay, unless that anything is a very large amount of chocolate!) and I am forever grateful that God brought me in your path.
Your future wife.
